Alert Amphibians

A European program on the pathogen of amphibians ( Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) is currently (2009-2012). For France, 2011 is the year of the study of its prevalence nationally ( www.alerte-amphibien.fr ). The implementation of this study is an opportunity to collect data on other factors that may affect amphibian populations. First, observations of mass mortalities should be promptly reported to the site ( www.alerte-amphibien.fr ) so that samples to identify the cause can be made. But any observation of infection, parasite, etc.. also of interest, even if we do not know the causal agent today. European Congress of HEU - 25-29 September 2011

The Societas Europea Herpetologica (SEH) and the German Herpetological Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Herpetology und Terrarienkunde DGHT) is organizing an international scientific congress, combining the European Congress of Herpetology de la SEH et les journées herpétologiques allemandes, du 25 au 29 septembre 2011 à Luxembourg et Trèves.

The National Museum of Natural History Luxembourg and University of Trier will kindly host this special international meeting uniting two leading conferences in European Herpetology. The SEH European Congress of Herpetology is held every two years in different European countries since 1979. Deutscher Herpetologentag is equivalent to the annual meeting of the German herpetological society, taking place the 47th time in 2011.

Most of the congress will take place at the Neumünster Abbey cultural centre next to National History Museum of Natural History Luxembourg. Key lectures and workshops will take place during one day at the University of Trier at the Petrisberg, some 40 kilometers from Luxembourg in the Mosel Valley, and will be turn out well with a herp party (transport will be arranged). Pre-registration and call for papers will be launched in September 2010. By then, the second circular will be distributed including further details regarding program, accommodation etc.

Workshops: Tentative focus will be turtle conservation, the amphibian chytrid fungus and phylogeography of European amphibians and reptiles. Additional suggestions are most welcome before 31 August 2010.

The UN condemns the state of malnutrition of many children in Honduras Manuel Zelaya accuses

New York, February 11 (RHC)

The World Food Programme UN reported that approximately 800 000 Honduran children suffer from chronic malnutrition.

Miguel Barreto, representative of that entity has qualified for the alarming number of families without access to basic foods in this Central American country where extreme poverty affects 7 out of 10 people.

He explained that 27% of children with nutritional deficiencies present problems of physical and intellectual development, which hinders their inclusion in society.

Tegucigalpa, Feb. 8 (AP-RHC)

The deposed President of Honduras Manuel Zelaya accused the current president, Porfirio Lobo to confabulans with the international right to destroy his supporters in Honduras.

He noted that the Honduran oligarchy, supported by the United States spared no resources to do so.

Zelaya did not give details of the plan against its supporters, grouped within the National Front of the Popular Resistance in an email he sent to the Front and the AP.

Zelaya who lives in exile in the Dominican Republic said Profirio Lobo hires mercenaries and specialists in conspiracies.

A by that I announce that I put myself in earnest to achieve the BD Flower of Darkness (Yami no hana). I'm currently rewriting the script to improve it and put all my chances on my side in order to present it to publishers in a year. I count the color by myself but I have yet to improve. ^ ^;

Speaking of comics, I give myself to finish the objective model of Number Five in the coming months.
