The UN condemns the state of malnutrition of many children in Honduras Manuel Zelaya accuses

The World Food Programme UN reported that approximately 800 000 Honduran children suffer from chronic malnutrition.
Miguel Barreto, representative of that entity has qualified for the alarming number of families without access to basic foods in this Central American country where extreme poverty affects 7 out of 10 people.
He explained that 27% of children with nutritional deficiencies present problems of physical and intellectual development, which hinders their inclusion in society.
