As often discussed on this blog, the Managing Commission of Terrils Borinage has two main objectives:
- protect ancient land mining the last refuges of fauna and flora become rare
- educating, communicating and sharing, to ensure the future of the land and promote respect for the environment.
this in mind one afternoon entertainment was offered to children attending primary schools in the municipal education and free Colfontaine. Fifty of them have responded positively to this appeal and participated in five different workshops on the theme of conservation.
Twenty members of the Management Committee assisted by a few volunteer teachers have guided and accompanied throughout the afternoon. How
kids interested if not by the game? So as fun activities that topics such as eco-consumption, waste management, nature in the garden, the awakening of the senses, etc.. were discussed.
After nearly three hours of crafts, puzzles, games and various activities, the fifty children were delighted and have found a snack, conquered and sensitized their parents.
