SHF hiring!

SHF recruited for this spring (on) Officer (e) Mission:

"HOST TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC Herpetology"

Background Herpetological Society DE FRANCE (SHF), founded in March 1971, for main objectives of facilitating relations between herpetologists in French, to raise awareness of reptiles, amphibians and their role in natural balance, contributing to a better knowledge of the French fauna and its distribution, protection of species and their environment. As part of the establishment of several national projects on conservation and learning about amphibians and reptiles (National Action Plans, followed temporal amphibians and reptiles ...), SHF recruiting a technical adviser.

Missions The incumbent, in charge of HFS, will be responsible for:

- Develop and conduct various programs (action plans, managing the network monitoring amphibian populations and reptiles, participatory science, expert herpetological ...) and monitor projects in their various aspects (technical, financial, administrative and communication).
- Establish partnerships with public, private and voluntary, technically and financially.
Participate in community life (animation website, communication, celebration of nature, congresses, etc.).

LE (LA) CANDIDATE (E)

Experience:
- Conservation nature with field experience
- Experience in project management (response to tenders, editing files, writing, scientists tracked, etc.).
- Very good knowledge of general herpetological and naturalists


Training:
- Higher education in biology or environment or equivalent experience

Skills - Knowledge of the distribution, status and conservation issues of the herpetofauna French
- Knowledge of major environmental issues (PNA, Natura 2000, Red Lists ...)
- Strong ability to manage, organization and development programs
- Excellent writing skills, proficient computer

- Interest in community life and militant spirit
- Major Interest for Nature Conservation

TERMS

- Contract CSD
12 months - 35 hours per week
- Compensation beginning on the basis of group C of the collective agreement of the animation. Index set by the candidate's profile.
- Position based in Bourget du Lac, Alpine Ecology Laboratory (University of Savoie)
- Post under the supervision of Prof. Claude Miaud
